The Pro-D3 is our first compact flash for industrial use, designed for excellent performance and tireless use in the most demanding, high-throughput production environments.
With a flash output of 750Ws and a maximum flash recycle time of just 0.01 seconds, the Pro-D3 delivers a high flash frequency for hours, making it ideal for extensive shoots. The three flash modes reflect the high degree of flexibility for your creative and economic decisions. The standard flash mode (ECO) should be selected to extend the life of the unit and for high color consistency.
If you need a little more power, switch to Boost mode; to eliminate motion blur, use Freeze mode for the shortest flash duration available to date.
The Pro-D3 also has a very energy-efficient LED modeling light. This shines brighter than a 400-watt halogen lamp - with only 15 % of the power consumption. This not only saves energy costs, but also keeps the light shapers cool and extends their service life. In addition, the modeling light offers a fixed, daylight-adapted colour temperature and diffuses the light like a flash so that the light is authentically represented in the final shot.
Choose between full flash output or accent light. The 11 f-stops, which can be set with an accuracy of 0.1 f-stops, take care of the nuances. For seamless synchronization between units, the Pro-D3 is equipped with Profoto's latest user interface and AirX technology, ensuring a smooth workflow.
